In week four we have a jam packed weekend for you at Princess Wallington Reserve.

The action starts at 10AM on Saturday when our Juniors take on Rockingham City in the Junior Cup.

 

State League

The State League squads battle it out with Murdoch University Melville FC. MUM FC have traditionally been a very strong outfit and this year is no different. They come into the match on the back of a narrow loss to Wanneroo City and will be looking to move up the ladder. Balga should be full of confidence going into the clash after their 1 all draw against a highly rated Swan United. As always the U18s kick off the day at 11AM, followed by Reserves at 1PM and the First team at 3PM.

 

Juniors

We then return to Princess Wallington Reserve on Sunday with 5 Junior matches followed by Metro, Women and Masters teams. The day starts with 14s - North Div 2 (9AM), 9s Yellow - Echinda (9AM), ALDI MiniRoos Clusters 6 (9AM), ALDI MiniRoos Clusters 6 (9:45AM) and 8s Yellow - Wombats (10AM).

 

Metro

Metro team entertain Balcatta FC. Balga sit in the second spot on the ladder with Balcatta just one point behind. This game kicks off at 1PM.

 

Masters

Masters return to Princess Wallington Reserve after 2 strong performances away. In their last league game Balga were . They followed this up with a dominant display against Western FC in the Masters Cup. Balga running away with the match scoring 10 goals to none to advance to the round of 32. This week they take on Inglewood City FC.

“We’re taking it week by week” said Balga SC striker Tahir Kulelija. “So far we’ve had good results and I feel we’re getting better the more we play together. We’ve scored a few but more importantly the guys in the middle of the park and the back line have backed that up by limiting the chances opposition have had.”

The clash against Inglewood will be a third game in 7 days for Balga however Kulelija is confident they can overcome the visitors “Inglewood will be a tough task but I have all the confidence in our squad and on our day we can overcome anyone. We have a few lads returning from injury and they’re itching to get back on the park”.

 

Women

After two byes Balga SC Women return to action against Ashfield SC. After a narrow loss to Sorrento FC in their one and only game so far this season, they’ll be looking to pick up some points.

Balga SC Masters and Balga SC Women both kick off at 3PM.
