This week saw Balga Metro Division 3 side take a short trip down the road to Carine Open Space to take on Hamersley Rovers.
A full strength Balga side got off to a stuttering start conceding a goal within the first 5 minutes.
A buoyant Hamersley continued to push for more until Balga woke up with 20 minutes left in the first half for Daniel Krebs to slot 2 past the keeper in quick succession.
The second half continued in similar fashion with Balga putting 6 past the Hamersley keeper with Daniel Krebs taking a hat trick and fellow striker Chris Searle bagging 2 for himself.
This continues Balga’s unbeaten run to 5 games with 2 points adrift of leaders Quinn’s.
Next week Balga welcome Noranda FC to Princess Wallington Reserve for a 1PM kickoff.
