This week Balga SC Metro team welcomed Noranda Football Club to Princess Wallington Reserve for their round 6 clash.
After the club’s social night there were a few heavy heads but this didn’t show when Balga took the lead after 20 minutes through Daniel Krebs.
Noranda equalized after a heavy collision between goalkeeper Drew Brookes and the Noranda striker although no foul was given.
A sloppy finish to the half resulted in another Noranda goal and a lucky escape from a Noranda penalty miss.
The second half saw a different Balga team take to the pitch which seems to be a recurring theme. An equalizer through Gilbert prior to Daniel Krebs getting his second to put Balga in the lead with 30 to go.
Some resolute defending saw Balga hold Noranda off until 10 minutes to go before a neat finish saw the game go to a draw.
This week the Metro Div 3 have the weekend off due to a Cup Round. Balga will welcome the break giving 4 first choice players further time to recover from injury.
