Balga SC Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Danny Cain as the senior First Team Coach. Danny is well known within the WA footballing community having played at Sorrento, Green Gully (VIC), Quinns, Gwelup and representing WA before joining Balga SC.
“It’s an honour to be appointed Balga First Team coach for the 2020 season” said Cain. “The last couple of seasons we have been right on the edge of promotion and I’m confident that with the group we have, we will be able to challenge for the top spot”.
Danny brings vast amounts of local and interstate playing experience into the role. He was a member of the Sorrento league winning squads in 2008 and 2012 as well as State Cup in 2011, 2012 and 2015. He also won promotion with Gwelup in 2017 and represented the WA state team in 2009 and 2010.
“On behalf of Balga SC, the Board and myself, I am excited that we’ve secured someone of Danny’s caliber for the top job” said Ken Shorto, Balga SC President. “We felt that Danny’s experience and familiarity with the young squad is a great fit for us. His leadership since joining us a couple years ago has been second to none on and off the pitch. We wish him and the playing group all the success”.

Balga SC kick off season 2020 on Saturday April 4 with an away trip to Joondalup City.
