Pre-Season Football Tournament for JDL Teams in Western Australia

Are you a Junior Development League (JDL) team looking for competitive pre-season football in 2026? The WA United JDL Pre-Season Youth Championship has officially opened registrations. This exclusive six-team competition is designed for clubs seeking high-quality match preparation — especially teams that missed out on the Football West Youth Cup Competition (YCC).

With Sunday fixtures, 30-minute halves, and a guaranteed five to six competitive matches, this pre-season championship is one of the best ways to prepare your players for the season ahead.

Who Can Enter – Age Groups for 2026

This WA youth football tournament is open to:

  • Boys JDL: U14, U15, U16

  • Girls JDL: U14, U16

Spaces are limited to maintain competition quality and ensure a professional matchday experience.

Competition Format

Every team plays each other once — that’s five guaranteed matches.
The top two sides advance to the Grand Final on Sunday, 3 May 2026, with trophies, medals, and presentations for first and second place.

  • 22 March

  • 29 March

  • 12 April

  • 19 April

  • 26 April

  • Grand Final Day: 3 May 2026

These dates provide a consistent and balanced pre-season schedule for JDL teams across Perth and surrounding regions.

Entry Fee and Referees

  • $175 per team (covers administration, trophies & medals)

  • Referees: $30 cash per team, per game (Football West referees, paid on the day)

All matches are 11-a-side, and hosting is shared between participating clubs. Balga SC has already confirmed its involvement and is available to host extra fixtures if required.
