Dani came to Australia in 1998 as a refugee from Bosnia following the war in that country.
He first joined Balga Soccer Club in 2019 as a player with some friends but has since become very active in the club both on and off the field. After initially coaching the under 13s for two years he is now the Assistant Coach and Goalkeeping Coach to the first team and Treasurer for the club while still playing in goal for the Masters team.
Away from the club Dani works as a painter/decorator and says he really enjoys being at Balga Soccer Club. “It has a good atmosphere; there are good people here and I intend to be here for a long time.”
