We’re on a mission to make football equal. After a successful implementation of our Junior Fee Free Football initiative we’re launching another exciting new program. We’re equalising remuneration by offering the same pay structure across both male and female State League squads. This is one step in the direction to bring equality to football.
“Football is played and enjoyed by everyone. FFF focuses on bringing football for free to all Junior no matter their family status and this program brings us into alignment with our core values and beliefs as a club. It’s a small step in the right direction for equality” said Balga SC President Ken Shorto. “It’s a simple program that will be run across the entire State League squad, male and female, that rewards success”.
“We’re grateful to our awesome partners and sponsors that have come on board to make this happen. We didn’t really need to sell the idea to anyone as it’s a common belief among the entire group. Everyone, from the board to sponsors and partners, was on board straight away. It’s simple and it’s the right thing to do” said Balga SC Sponsorship Manager Dimce Taneski.
Balga SC Women’s State League captain Treiza Nogor said she is proud of the club’s initiatives “I feel proud and privileged to be part of a club that rewards success right across the squads irrelevant of gender. We won’t solve the bigger issue at hand today but it’s an example how such a big world wide problem can be addressed by football clubs in an effective and simple way”.
Balga SC Women kick off their season on April 11. If you’d like to be part of Balga SC contact the club on [email protected] or on facebook.
